Photo Op Wednesday...a little late!

This photo op wednesday was spent in Denver. We were there for the week while my husband had a work conference. We had a beautiful snow fall the night before, so with the slick roads, a daughter who didn't want me to take her picture and being unfamiliar with the city, this is what we got. We had fun though, playing at the aquarium.
The cloud cover gave this picture a "caught in the storm" kind of feel. I love boats and the adventures they take you on, so I had to get this picture.
She was a little cold, and didn't want mommy to walk away to take the picture. Funny girl!

Little Emma

This little sweetie is so full of energy, she was so fun to capture. Thank you, mommy, for the opportunity!

Photo Op Wednesday

Although we had a beautiful snow fall, the first of the year, here in Colorado Springs, I did not have the opportunity to go explore for photo spots. I did however get some shots of what I did do today. With the holidays approaching, I spent the day baking (my first apple pie). Don't forget to take a look at my photo session from last weekend (below) and have a wonderful Thanksgiving feast. Be grateful for photo capturing moments!

Photo Op Wednesday

Since I am new to Colorado Springs, my daughter and I have decided to dedicate every Wednesday to "photo ops". We are exploring the city and surrounding areas for great photo spots. I found some treasures today with fantastic colors. Can't wait to fill these spots with some colorful people. I can see little ones, brides, kissing couples and the list goes on. Here are some sample spots I found in the center of downtown Colorado Springs.

It was a very cold day, there was some great cloud cover to protect the pictures from sharp light, but I think a bit too much cloud cover. Our noses were cold when we were done. But I am so excited to see what else we find.

She just loves being my model, can you tell?

First Session

I had fun with these gals, took a while to warm up, but we got some great personality out of big sis.

Little shy with the hat, but doesn't she look darling.

a jamais la famille

Eating my fig newton

Look at those cheeks, who doesn't love a good fig newton.

September 2007 Office Building

I did this job just before moving to Colorado. Unfortunately, some of the furniture had not arrived before I had to leave. This is the boss' office and we had fun playing with color. After trial and error, we came up with the perfect color for a masculine feel. The desk is a presidential mahogany. It's gorgeous! Pictures of that later, when the furniture has arrived. The owner chose some fabulous moldings and chair rail features. Those were fun to work with.

I wanted to fill this wall with a gallery set up of his family pictures. What a beautiful family

These pictures are not a completed project, but you get the feel of my vision from these samples.

September 2007 Conference Room

Red is energetic and what better color than red to put in the conference room where energy needs to be. We also wanted the color to be a bit dark for power point presentations. I love the pictures we found, books and vintage sport. Mostly men occupy this office building. My main goal for this building was to provide a professional feel with the comfort of home.
